- VGAKAL version 1.1
-
- VGAKAL.COM is a VGA Kaleidoscope program.
- YOU MUST HAVE A VGA CARD, OR 100% COMPATIBLE TO RUN THIS PROGRAM,
- since it uses the 320x200 256 color mode (so an EGA+ card will not
- run it properly).
- To get all 256 colors, you must also have an analog monitor.
- In any event,
- THE AUTHOR CLAIMS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES TO YOUR SYSTEM
- (although none have been reported).
- To enter the system, simply type VGAKAL at the DOS prompt.
-
- The demos are named: KS3, KS4, LKS2, LKS3, LKS4, & LKS5
- To run one, just type it's name.
- Once running, hitting a 1, 2, or 3 will change the palette,
- while any other key will stop that demo.
- To clear the screen type DARK.
- To get help type HELP.
- To exit type BYE
-
- My favorite kaleidoscope is LKS4, so you might try that one first.
-
- This is a hacker's program. I have made little attempt to make a nice
- interface.
-
- If you would like to see a version with a nice user interface and more
- palettes, scnd a donation of $10 to:

- Programmers note: this program was written in Laxen, Perry, and Baden
- FORTH, which is public domain.
-
- Enjoy !
-
- Version 1.1 A better (though slower) random number generator is used.
- This is particularly apparent in the KS4 kaleidoscope.
